How to study ARTS1000: Weekly schedule
Completion requirements
ARTS1000/ARTX1000 is an interdisciplinary, interactive unit. You will be exposed to a variety of disciplines, concepts, and ways of studying Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences.
Each week, you will be expected to carry out the following steps:
PREPARATION: Complete the preparatory activities, which will consist of selected readings and pre-recorded videos featuring guest speakers from all the disciplines across the Arts, Humanities and Social Science, as well as industry representatives. You will need to devote approx. two (2) hours each week to the preparatory activities.
ACTIVITIES: Attend the live-streamed online lecture (one hour via Echo360). A recording will be made available later for those who cannot join synchronously.
Complete your tutorial activities (one hour). For F2F-Day students, this will be on campus. For Scheduled-Online students, this will be via Zoom. Online flexible students will not attend a class, but will instead complete the tutorial exercises in their own time.
CONSOLIDATION: To consolidate your learning for the week, complete the optional activities including advanced readings, practice quizzes etc.
